These injections can give a boost to any weight loss regimen when combined with a healthy diet and exercise program and can be taken along with GLP-1 medications to augment their effectiveness.
Can these be taken along with GLP-1s?

What are the ingredients in Lipo-C?
Methionine / Inositol / Choline / L-Carnitine / Vitamin C / B-Vitamins / Chromium / Procaine
What are the benefits of the specific ingredients of Lipo-C?
- Methionine - Methionine is a key player in lipid metabolism and can help to increase energy levels. Methionine works by helping to break down fats and cholesterol in the body, which can be especially beneficial for those looking to lose weight. By promoting healthy lipid metabolism, methionine can help to boost the body's overall fat burning abilities, making it easier to shed unwanted pounds. It also has a role in nitrogen balance and maintaining body protein, which can help preserve muscle tissue while on a weight loss program.
- Inositol – Inositol can help the liver breakdown fats and improves insulin signaling for better utilization of blood sugar.
- Choline - Choline is an essential nutrient acting as a key player to help the liver in the breakdown of fat cells, which provides an energy source for the body during rapid fat and weight loss. This process is especially important for those looking to lose weight, as it can help to promote healthy fat burning and reduce the risk of fat accumulation in the body (the liver, in particular). A choline deficiency can cause an abnormal deposition of fat in the liver, which may result in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, or fatty liver disease.
- L-Carnitine - Carnitine is an amino acid that aids in metabolism. Carnitine is a crucial component of energy production in the body, as it moves fatty acids into the cells to be converted into energy. Carnitine helps to prioritize the breakdown of fats to be used as energy while maintaining lean body mass which helps to boost the metabolism. It can also help to reduce muscle fatigue and lactic acid production and in turn, boost athletic performance.
- Vitamin C - The most potent antioxidant. Assists the body in the elimination of reactive toxins, and improve collagen synthesis and immune function.
- B-Vitamins: Thiamine HCL (B1), Riboflavin 5-PO4 (B2), Niacinamine (B3), Dexpanthenol (B5), Pyridoxal-5-PO4 (B6), Methylcobalamin (B12) – Adequate B-vitamins are also important for overall health and especially when dieting. Supplementation support various functions including the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats from the foods that we eat, effective cellular energy production, removal of toxins from the body by helping in liver detoxification.
- Chromium Picolinate - Supports healthy sugar levels and may reduce sweets cravings.
- Procaine HCL – Local anesthetic to reduce injection site discomfort.
Will these injections help with weight loss without any lifestyle changes?
If you already dialed in with a well balanced, healthy diet and exercise program, these injections can definitely augment your goals. It is important to note that Lipo-C injections will not help you burn fat or lose weight if you don’t combine it with a healthy diet and exercise routine.
Are injections more effective than oral supplements?
Yes! The bioavailability of the injections are much higher than oral supplementation since they do not have to travel through the GI system to be absorbed.
What part of the body are Lipo-C injections given?
Similar to an immunization, these injections are given in a large muscle such as the upper arm (deltoid) or buttock (gluteus).
Am I a candidate for Lipo-C injections?

It is always important to share with your injector your detailed medical history and list of medications to make sure there are no contraindications to the injections. If you are pregnant or have any allergies to the components to Lipo-C, you should not receive the injections.
Can I receive Methionine if I have a sulfa allergy?
Methionine is a sulfur-containing essential amino acid. The presence of sulfur of sulfur in methionine can a source of concern for people who have reactions to sulfa or sulfites. For example, sulfa-containing medications such as Bactrim are a common source of drug allergies. Bactrim contains sulfonamide (a molecule composed of sulfur, oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen) and an allergic reaction to this medication is not due to the chemical makeup of sulfonamide, but rather the mechanism of action of the drug. An allergy to sulfonamides does not imply a definite cross-reactivity with sulfites or elemental sulfer, as in methionine. If you have a sulfa allergy, be sure to discuss this with our office prior to your injection.
Are there any side effects to Lipo-C?
